Chapter 9: Miniworld
Complete walkthrough for all 6 habitats in the microscopic Miniworld — every Smiley Flower, discovery, and Golden Bug location.
Dustmite Habitat
A microscopic mite that rides dust particles. Yoshi is shrunk to its size in this habitat. Dustmites can be stacked to form tiny towers.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the tiny creature on the giant leaf with the Magnifying Glass — Yoshi shrinks to miniature size.
2 Gobble a Dustmite (B) and stack it on another — they form a two-high tower Yoshi can climb.
3 Stack three Dustmites to reach the ledge above the starting area. Smiley Flower 1 is on the ledge.
4 Ride a dust particle (jump onto a floating speck) to cross the air current gap. Smiley Flower 2 is on the far platform.
5 Find the Golden Bug on the underside of the giant leaf — Flutter Jump from the leaf's edge to hang below.
6 Stack four Dustmites to reach the highest platform in the habitat. Smiley Flower 3 is at the top.
7 Stack all five Dustmites in the final area into one giant tower — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Pollenhopper Habitat
A pollen grain with tiny legs that bounces between flowers. Carrying one coats Yoshi in pollen, making him sticky enough to cling to flower surfaces.
🌸 4 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the bouncing pollen creature on the flower petal with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Gobble a Pollenhopper (B) — Yoshi is coated in pollen and can now cling to flower surfaces.
3 Walk up the vertical flower petal wall on the left. Smiley Flower 1 is at the top of the petal.
4 Cling to the ceiling of the flower arch and walk across upside-down. Smiley Flower 2 is midway across.
5 Find the Golden Bug on the far petal wall — cling and climb to the very top.
6 Cling to the underside of the floating pollen platform and ride it to the right. Smiley Flower 3 is at the end of the ride.
7 Climb the giant stamen at the center by clinging to its surface. Smiley Flower 4 is near the top.
8 Cling to the very tip of the stamen and hold on as it sways — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Dewdrop Habitat
A living water droplet that rolls along surfaces. Yoshi can enter it like a bubble and roll through the miniature world at high speed.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the shimmering water droplet on the leaf surface with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Jump into the Dewdrop (A near it) — Yoshi rolls inside it. Tilt to roll in any direction.
3 Roll down the leaf slope at high speed and launch off the edge. Smiley Flower 1 is in the air at the launch point.
4 Roll through the narrow water channel on the right. Smiley Flower 2 is at the end of the channel.
5 Find the Golden Bug by rolling up the curved leaf wall — gain speed on the flat section first.
6 Roll into the large dry area — the Dewdrop absorbs the moisture and grows larger. Roll through the barrier. Smiley Flower 3 is beyond it.
7 Roll the giant Dewdrop into the dry crystal at the center — it shatters and releases a shower of water. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Antlion Habitat
A sand-trap creature that creates funnel-shaped pits. Yoshi can use the suction to pull distant items in, or ride the antlion to dig through sand.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the funnel-shaped pit creature with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Stand near the Antlion's pit — the suction pulls Yoshi in. Resist by Flutter Jumping to stay at the rim.
3 Use the suction to pull the distant Smiley Flower toward you while hovering at the rim. Smiley Flower 1 is pulled in.
4 Gobble the Antlion (B) and carry it to the sand wall. It digs through, creating a tunnel. Smiley Flower 2 is inside.
5 Find the Golden Bug at the bottom of the deepest pit — let the suction pull you in, then Flutter Jump out quickly.
6 Carry the Antlion to the large sand mound and let it dig down. Smiley Flower 3 is in the chamber below.
7 Place the Antlion at the center of the arena — its suction pulls all the sand creatures together. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Sporecloud Habitat
A fungal spore cluster that floats on air currents. Yoshi can ride it upward and steer through narrow passages by exhaling spores.
🌸 4 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the floating spore cluster with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Jump onto the Sporecloud (A) — it carries Yoshi upward on the air current.
3 Steer left by pressing B to exhale spores rightward (reaction pushes left). Navigate through the first narrow passage. Smiley Flower 1 is in the passage.
4 Ride up to the second level. Smiley Flower 2 is on the platform to the right — steer toward it.
5 Find the Golden Bug in the side alcove on the left — steer hard left to enter it.
6 Navigate the zigzag passage without touching the walls. Smiley Flower 3 is at the end.
7 Ride the Sporecloud all the way to the top of the habitat. Smiley Flower 4 is at the very peak.
8 Exhale all spores at once at the top — the cloud disperses into a shower of spores. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Grainweevil Habitat
A beetle that lives inside seed pods. It can inflate the pod it's in to create a bouncy platform, or deflate it to squeeze through tight gaps.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the beetle inside the transparent seed pod with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Tap the pod (B near it) — the Grainweevil inflates it into a large bouncy ball. Jump on it to bounce high.
3 Bounce off the inflated pod to reach the high ledge. Smiley Flower 1 is on the ledge.
4 Tap the pod again to deflate it — it squeezes through the narrow gap in the wall. Follow it through. Smiley Flower 2 is on the other side.
5 Find the Golden Bug by bouncing off three pods in sequence to reach the highest point.
6 Inflate the giant pod at the far end and bounce off it to reach the ceiling platform. Smiley Flower 3 is there.
7 Inflate all five pods simultaneously — they merge into one giant bouncy surface. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
