Chapter 10: Moon
The final chapter — complete walkthrough for all 6 habitats on the Moon, including the Cosmosprite and the true ending.
Moonhopper Habitat
A round creature adapted to low gravity. It bounces extremely high and can carry Yoshi to platforms that would be unreachable on Earth.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the bouncy creature on the lunar surface with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Jump on the Moonhopper (A) — in low gravity, it launches Yoshi incredibly high. Hold A to extend the Flutter Jump at the peak.
3 Bounce to the first high crater rim. Smiley Flower 1 is on the rim.
4 Bounce off two Moonhoppers in sequence to reach the floating rock platform. Smiley Flower 2 is there.
5 Find the Golden Bug on the far side of the large crater — bounce across the gap.
6 Bounce off the giant Moonhopper at the center to reach the highest point of the habitat. Smiley Flower 3 is at the top.
7 Bounce off all five Moonhoppers in the final area in sequence — the chain launches Yoshi above the Moon's surface. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Stargrazer Habitat
A creature that feeds on starlight. It glows brighter the more starlight it absorbs, and can release a blinding flash to stun nearby creatures.
🌸 4 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the glowing creature near the starlight beam with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Lead the Stargrazer into the starlight beam — it absorbs the light and glows brightly.
3 Carry the glowing Stargrazer (Tail Flick) into the dark cave on the left. Its light reveals Smiley Flower 1 on the ceiling.
4 Press B while carrying it to release a flash — it stuns the shadow creatures blocking the path. Smiley Flower 2 is beyond them.
5 Find the Golden Bug in the deep shadow zone — carry the fully charged Stargrazer to illuminate it.
6 Charge the Stargrazer in the large starlight beam at the center. Carry it to the crystal array — the light refracts into a rainbow. Smiley Flower 3 appears.
7 Release a flash at the giant shadow creature at the back. Smiley Flower 4 is revealed when it retreats.
8 Carry the Stargrazer to the Moon's peak and release a full flash — it illuminates the entire surface. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Cometail Habitat
A comet-shaped creature that streaks across the sky in a straight line. Yoshi can grab its tail and be pulled along at high speed.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the streaking creature near the launch pad with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Stand in the Cometail's path and press B as it passes — Yoshi grabs the tail and is pulled along.
3 Ride the Cometail across the first gap and release (B again) to land on the platform. Smiley Flower 1 is there.
4 Grab the second Cometail and ride it upward along its arc. Release at the peak. Smiley Flower 2 is at the apex.
5 Find the Golden Bug by riding the Cometail past the normal release point — hold on longer to reach the far ledge.
6 Ride the fast Cometail through the asteroid field without letting go. Smiley Flower 3 is at the end of the run.
7 Grab the giant Cometail and ride it all the way around the Moon — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Lunarfin Habitat
A fish-like creature that swims through the Moon's thin atmosphere as if it were water. Yoshi can ride it to navigate the airless zones.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the swimming creature in the airless zone with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Jump onto the Lunarfin's back (A) — Yoshi rides it through the atmosphere like water.
3 Steer the Lunarfin through the first airless corridor. Smiley Flower 1 is midway through.
4 Dive the Lunarfin down into the deep crater. Smiley Flower 2 is at the bottom.
5 Find the Golden Bug by steering the Lunarfin into the side tunnel on the right.
6 Ride the Lunarfin through the asteroid debris field without hitting any rocks. Smiley Flower 3 is at the exit.
7 Ride the Lunarfin to the surface of the Moon's far side — it leaps out of the atmosphere. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Voidwalker Habitat
A shadow creature from the dark side of the Moon. It can phase through solid surfaces and pull Yoshi through walls with it.
🌸 4 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the shadowy creature on the dark side of the Moon with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Touch the Voidwalker — it phases through the wall in front of you, pulling Yoshi along.
3 Phase through the first wall to reach the hidden chamber. Smiley Flower 1 is inside.
4 Follow the Voidwalker through the floor to the underground section. Smiley Flower 2 is below.
5 Find the Golden Bug by phasing through the ceiling — it's in the chamber above.
6 Phase through three walls in sequence to reach the deep void section. Smiley Flower 3 is there.
7 Phase through the final barrier with the Voidwalker — it leads to the void between worlds. Smiley Flower 4 floats in the void.
8 Phase through the Moon's core with the Voidwalker — it emerges on the other side. This is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Cosmosprite Habitat
The final creature of the game — a being of pure starlight that grants Yoshi the ability to fly freely. Complete all its discoveries to unlock the true ending.
🌸 5 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the radiant creature at the Moon's summit with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Touch the Cosmosprite — Yoshi gains the ability to fly freely in any direction. Hold A and use the stick to steer.
3 Fly left to the star cluster. Smiley Flower 1 is at the center of the cluster.
4 Fly upward through the aurora. Smiley Flower 2 is hidden inside the aurora's brightest band.
5 Fly right to the constellation formation. Smiley Flower 3 is at the heart of the constellation.
6 Find the Golden Bug by flying to the very edge of the Moon's atmosphere — it floats just at the boundary.
7 Fly down to the Moon's surface and touch all five ancient star markers. Smiley Flower 4 appears at the center.
8 Fly to the top of the atmosphere. Smiley Flower 5 is at the very peak, above the clouds.
9 Fly into the heart of the Cosmosprite itself — it transforms into a brilliant star. This is the final Big Discovery and the true ending. Jump into the sparkly spot to complete the game.
