Chapter 1: Wildwoods
Complete walkthrough for all 5 habitats in the Wildwoods — every Smiley Flower, discovery, and Golden Bug location.
Crazee Dayzee Habitat
A mysterious flower creature — flora, fauna, or both? This is the tutorial habitat where you learn Gobble and Tail Flick.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the flower creature in the grass patch with the Magnifying Glass to enter the habitat.
2 Go right and Gobble the flower creature (B). Then Tail Flick (X) the next one to carry it on Yoshi's back.
3 Keep going right, interacting with everything — touch flower buds while carrying the Crazee Dayzee to make them bloom.
4 Go down the shallow pit and head left to find a hidden path — Smiley Flower 1 is at the end.
5 Go right of the pit to find another hidden path. Flutter Jump (hold A) over the mud puddle to reach Smiley Flower 2.
6 Climb up-left to the platform, then crawl through the narrow opening (hold ↓ while moving).
7 Ground Pound (A → ↓) the red exclamation button to spawn a rain cloud that grows a big tree.
8 Climb the big tree and head right. Jump left across platforms to reach Smiley Flower 3 — Flutter Jump to grab it.
9 Continue right and up to the top of the cliff, then slide down the hill (hold ↓).
10 Flutter Jump across the 3 big flowers while carrying the Crazee Dayzee — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Bunchabee Habitat
A wriggling fruit that transforms into a swarm of bees. Use Egg Tosses to knock bees away and free Smiley Flowers.
🌸 5 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the wriggling fruit hanging from the tree with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Go right and Gobble the wriggling fruit (B). Knock others away with Egg Tosses.
3 Ground Pound (A → ↓) the wooden structure to the right to break it.
4 Throw an egg at the Winged Cloud to spawn platforms. Climb up and use Egg Tosses on the bees to free Smiley Flower 1.
5 Go up and right to the cliff. Use a Crazee Dayzee to distract bees, or crouch in the bog to avoid them. Grab Smiley Flower 2.
6 Climb up the platforms and vines. Throw a Crazee Dayzee at the bees to free Smiley Flower 3.
7 Go back down and left to find the Golden Bug near the four vines.
8 Go down further to find Hot Peppers — these make bees cluster together briefly. Use Egg Tosses to knock them away.
9 Climb back up the vines and jump right to find a hidden cave (crouch to enter). Knock bees away with Egg Tosses to free Smiley Flower 4.
10 Exit the cave, go right and up. Use Egg Tosses on the bee hives to clear them and grab Smiley Flower 5.
11 Jump into the 5 big flowers sparkly spot to complete the Big Discovery and finish the habitat.
Scatterpuff Habitat
A fluffy white puff creature that spreads spores. Use it to absorb water, break boulders, and scare away hidden creatures.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the white puff creature to the lower right with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Carry an apple from the upper right tree, then run through the Scatterpuffs to infect it with spores.
3 Run back and forth to spread puffs onto the tree. Jump on the giant white puffs to reach the Golden Bug above.
4 Get to the left platform and spread puffs on the grass and tree.
5 Use the giant white puff creatures to reach the upper right branch. Go all the way right for Smiley Flower 1.
6 Drop down and go right to the body of water. Spread Scatterpuffs to absorb the water and lower the water level.
7 Push the wooden ball so it gathers White Puffs. Jump on top to roll it faster. Break the boulder above the water by spreading spores on it, then roll the ball down the dried pond to reveal a hidden area with Smiley Flower 2.
8 Go all the way right past the pond to find a statue. Spread white puffs on it to break it — Smiley Flower 3 appears.
9 Return to the start and go left. Spread white puffs on the giant square rock blocking the tunnel. Jump up and down to push spores inside.
10 Keep spreading puffs until they cover the creature inside — it runs away, completing the Big Discovery.
Croakaoke Habitat
Squat duck-like creatures carrying leaves on their heads. They sing notes and propel Yoshi to higher places when jumped on.
🌸 4 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the singing creature near the pond with the Magnifying Glass to enter the habitat.
2 Jump on the Croakaoke's head (A) to bounce high — it acts as a trampoline. Reach the platform above for Smiley Flower 1.
3 Go right and interact with each Croakaoke you find. Each one sings a different note — listen carefully to unlock discoveries.
4 Use a Croakaoke's bounce to reach the high ledge on the left. Smiley Flower 2 is on the platform above the waterfall.
5 Continue right past the lily pads. Bounce off the Croakaoke near the tall cliff to reach Smiley Flower 3 on the upper ledge.
6 Find the Golden Bug on the far right cliff — bounce off two Croakaokes in sequence to reach it.
7 Go back left and find the group of four Croakaokes near the pond. Jump on each one in order — they play a melody together for a discovery.
8 Bounce off the tallest Croakaoke near the center to reach the highest platform. Smiley Flower 4 is at the top.
9 Jump on all four Croakaokes in the final area to make them sing in harmony — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
Glubbit Habitat
A frog-like creature with a mouth that resembles a bubble wand. It creates bubbles Yoshi can enter to float. Orange Glubbits make bigger bubbles.
🌸 3 Smiley Flowers 1 Inspect the bubble-blowing creature near the water's edge with the Magnifying Glass.
2 Walk up to a Glubbit near the water — it will blow a bubble. Jump into the bubble (A) to float inside it.
3 While inside the bubble, float up and right to reach Smiley Flower 1 on the platform above the water.
4 Exit the bubble by pressing B (Gobble) or jumping out. Find the orange Glubbit further right — it blows a much larger bubble.
5 Enter the orange Glubbit's big bubble and float up to the high ledge. Smiley Flower 2 is on the ledge above.
6 Find the Golden Bug on the island in the middle of the deep water. Use a Glubbit bubble to float across safely.
7 Go to the far right where a Glubbit sits near a deep underwater passage. Enter its bubble and float down into the underwater area.
8 Navigate the underwater passage inside the bubble — collect tokens along the way. Smiley Flower 3 is at the end of the passage.
9 Float back up and find the large orange Glubbit at the top of the map. Enter its giant bubble and float all the way to the top of the level — this is the Big Discovery. Jump into the sparkly spot to finish.
